The winter market at the Bootshafen
 

Kiel's first Christmas marquee is the best basis for a great atmosphere and exuberant party evenings. On a generous 250m² there is enough space to celebrate properly. With around 120 seats, the Christmas tent is also ideal for larger groups and can be booked for Christmas parties or after-work events.

Local Kiel DJs such as the Karacho Crew and the Karaoke Boys play every weekend, making the winter market at the boat harbour the perfect preparty location. If you don't want to move on, you can of course stay: The party tent is open until 22 pm.

The entrance is on the side of the small Kiel Canal. The lovingly designed winter market with its stylish decorations and countless lights can be seen from afar. There are 15 small wooden stalls with food and crafts, as well as plenty of covered bar tables with a view of the harbour basin. Enjoy your punch - or, as here at the winter market, one of the many creative alternatives in a perfect setting: with a view of the illuminated light sail tree on the Bootshafen basin. The nine-metre-high tree illuminates the entire Bootshafen with over 12,000 lights and is guaranteed to create a festive atmosphere.

The culinary offerings leave nothing to be desired, even for vegans: the stalls serve falafel, potatoes, waffles and street food from the region - all vegan and from local restaurants. If you don't want to miss out on the classic Christmas market bratwurst, you don't have to go hungry and will find what you're looking for here. However, most stalls also offer a vegan alternative.
